In a world where daily life is often difficult, the need of laugh and casualness is fundamental.
In March 2008, we have been invited to the Show of the children’s book in Sfax, Tunisia. We performed there for a week in a wonderful background, a book fair with an increasing number of shows and concerts everyday.
An experience with a great deal of multicultural encounters, comedians, book publishers, writers, storytellers, designers, who came mostly from Arabian countries of Africa and the Middle East, all of them were gathered at this book fair for children. And of course, a multitude of kids and teenagers were there too.
We were generously greeted and we must thank Tunisians for their kindness and open-mindedness.
We also performed in two orphanages and spent time with the children. In the National Centre of the Marionette Arts of Tunis, we performed our show C’est pas drôle ! (That’s not Funny!) which was warmly greeted by the public. It is a good motivation for us to carry on working and bring the show to perfection. Finally, by way of Happy Easter, we were greeted in the house of the Swiss ambassador in Tunisia. A sunny Sunday, performing on the residence’s terrace, I can bet many will remember this!
