In a world where daily life is often difficult, the need of laugh and casualness is fundamental.

The trip to Colombia

In the end of December 2006, we left for one month to Colombia in order to perform and teach music and clown art.

Our aims were to give moments of joy and dream to other people, and to promote local artistic movements through teaching in these foundations. Thus, we intervened in hospitals, street animations, and we also taught clown art and music in community centres or clown foundations.

In Colombia, violence is part of history and present culture. Often political (corruption, mafias, guerilla), it is also very present in the poorer districts: settling of scores between neighbours, gang conflicts, “cleaning” of the streets by paramilitary groups, etc.

AIn order to give moments of joy to people whose life is restrained by daily difficulties, it seemed important to us to act in places where culture can hardly breathe: hospitals, centres for underprivileged children, poor districts, suburbs.
